Mr. Cottom is beginning his 25th year teaching Theatre and serving as Technical Director at Tomball High School. His previous four years were at Klein Forest High School. Mr. Cottom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching from Sam Houston State University with a Major in Theatre and has obtained numerous Graduate hours in Gifted and Talented Education and in Theatre. He also taught and served as talent coordinator for the Texas Governor’s Program for Gifted and Talented students for six summers. His awards include the Theatre Alumni of the Year Award from the Sam Houston State University Theatre Department, Walmart Teacher of the Year, the 2011 Alma Slawinski Thespian Leadership Award, the 2014 Texas Thespians Hall of Fame Theatre Director Award, and the 2016-2017 Tomball ISD A+ Teacher of The Year Award.

Mr. Willard is a 2015 graduate from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in theater. While at Sam he directed, acted, and worked behind the scenes of numerous shows; most notably Machinal, Much Ado About Nothing, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and How I Learned to Drive. Mr. Willard received an award from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in outstanding assistant direction for his work on Machincal. Mr. Willard is excited to be a part of Tomball High School’s Theater Department, and is excited for the opportunity to share his art, love, and passion for theater.
